Sean Vernon Feliciano Amazing Day Foundation

Bob's son Sean Vernon Feliciano, a 20-year old junior at UC Santa Barbara took his life on March 3, 2009 one of 1100 college students who take their lives each year. Bob, his family and Sean's friends have created a non-profit company "Sean Vernon Feliciano Amazing Day Foundation, Inc." to bring more awareness to the number of college students who fall victim. The intent of the foundation is to help others with information, and awareness through a speakers bureau and other professionals. "If we can save another child from taking his/her life we have accomplished our goal."

The foundation hosted its first 5K "Walk for Life" in the city of Downey California on September 11, 2010. We are pleased to announce that the Sheriff of Los Angeles County Lee Baca was the Grand Marshal for the Walk. CBS reporter David Lopez was the MC for the event with 500 volunteers and walkers participating in the walk. This years walk will be on September 10, 2011 at Stonewood Mall in the city of Downey. As a result of the event the Foundation was able to donate $10,000.00 to UCSB to support a counselling program on campus. In addition to the Walk the Foundation and UCSB Alumni Association will be hosting a 5 mile run on March 5, 2011 in memory of Sean and to raise awareness and funds for research on college age suicides.
